This Thanksgiving weekend, I will be taking part in Kennedy Krieger Institute’s 20th Annual Festival of Trees.
Festival of Trees is Kennedy Krieger Institute’s largest fundraiser of the year. This year’s event will take place November 27 – 29, 2009 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. The largest family-oriented holiday festival on the East Coast, Festival of Trees serves as the unofficial kickoff to the holiday season!
Festival of Trees benefits the more than 13,000 children with disorders of the brain and spinal cord served by Kennedy Krieger each year, raising funds for patient care, education and research. Since its inception, Festival of Trees has raised over $10 million to support these important programs.
